Great site. Always plenty of info., I read with much interest the Formic Acid sponge approach.
Question ? Can I use it now (21/7/08) I have sealed brood in my hives.
The 2007/2008 period saw 6 of my 10 hives die out.
Bee inspector suspects mites were the cause.
Thanks for the great site Harold

Hi ... Harold
Yes, you can use it now ... July or in fact any time you have an unacceptable infestation. Check your mite drop per day.
You should take off any supers with honey in during treatment.

Hello John
Just saw your post about bee refugee stunt outside Bavarian parliament on GM Watch news and was led to your site. Great stuff, and good to connect with you again. It's a long time since we saw off GM crop trials from Nairn and Munlochy, but good to see that you are beevering! away just as strongly.

Hope all's well with you, and would love to hear your news.

Best regards,

Andrew

PS
Just fired off a broadside at BBKA about their endorsement of Bayer bee-toxic insecticides for good measure - as a non-beekeeping honey purchaser.
